After Dorland Mountain Arts Colony was destroyed by fire, Mason Williams, a long time friend of Dorland's caretaker and watercolor artist Robert Willis, generously offered to perform two live concerts in Temecula with all proceeds benefiting Dorland's rebuilding campaign. In conjunction with the concerts, Williams and Willis will introduce their latest art work in The Gallery at the Merc at the Old Town Temecula Theatre. The show opens on August 24 and runs through September 30th.

Mason Williams emerged in the late 1960's as a strong force in television and music circles. In 1968 he won two Grammy awards for his unique composition for guitar, Classical Gas. Best known as a composer and recording artist, in 1986 Mason teamed up with Mannheim Steamroller, of Fresh Aire fame, to release the Classical Gas album. As a single, Classical Gas topped the charts in August 1968.
