(Top 40 Charts/ Matthew McAllister Official Website) - Scottish classical guitar virtuoso Matthew McAllister is coming to Albany to perform with Albany guitarist William Simcoe and his Spiral Ensemble. The concert will be held on October 21, 2007, 3 p.m. at the Church of St. James, 391 Delaware Avenue, Albany, New York. Admission will be $15 for the general public, $10 for students and seniors, Matthew will be performing solo and with his flautist partner Aisling Agnew. William will be performing solo and in ensemble with flautist Elisabeth Williams and soprano Rosanne Hargrave. Born in Falkirk and raised in the East Neuk of Fife, Matthew studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama with Allan Neave. Matthew has toured with the Scottish Ballet, performed at the 5th & 7th Simon Bolivar Guitar Festivals held at the Venezuelan Embassy in London, recorded for the BBC Artists Index and appeared on BBC and Spanish Television. He has headlined the Southwell International Festival and appeared at the Classical Guitar Camp (Malaysia), Ordu International Guitar Festival (Turkey), Dundee International Guitar Festival (Scotland) and Metu International Guitar Festival (Turkey) and has toured Ireland, Scotland, England and Denmark with his duos: Maelasta and the Agnew / McAllister Duo.
