(Top40 Charts/ Amoeba Records) - In celebration of the release of 'Gram Parsons Archives, Vol. 1: The Flying Burrito Brothers Live At The Avalon Ballroom, 1969,' Amoeba Records will be hosting a musical tribute to the man who helped define a new genre of "Cosmic American Music". The celebration will be at Amoeba Music Hollywood Thursday, November 8th. The festivities will include performances of Gram Parsons songs from Amoeba Recording artist Brandi Shearer, Dave Gleason, Quincy Coleman and the Mike Stinson Band-plus special surprise guests. In attendance that evening will be; Original Flying Burrito Brother Chris Ethridge; photographer Andee Nathanson, whose intimate photos adorn the albums liner notes and booklet; Pamela Des Barres, who wrote the album's liner notes and was at the two shows captured on the discs; and Gram's daughter Polly Parsons. Fans will have a chance to get a free limited edition poster with purchase of the CD, while supplies last.
