Honolulu, Hawaii (Top40 Charts/ Enchanting Music) - Internationally renowned pianist,
David Hicken, has released a new CD entitled Goddess.
A gorgeous recording featuring 12 new original compositions for solo piano, Goddess was released on November 15th by Enchanting Music. A world traveller, David, who is originally from England, lived in Sri Lanka and Thailand. "While living in Sri Lanka, I was trekking through a jungle near Hikkaduwa and came across the most beautiful Hindu temple. I was so inspired and overwhelmed by the beauty of the stone carvings and artwork that the music for Lakshmi suddenly came to me." Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of Prosperity and is the title of the first track of the CD.
Goddess is the first new studio album by David Hicken since his best selling album "Shadow of Youth". The original compositions are each named after Goddesses from Egypt, Italy, India, Ireland, Greece, China and Hawaii and each piece was written to evoke the qualities of each Goddess.
Ideal for relaxation, yoga and meditation, these highly melodic pieces, infused with rich harmonies are performed lovingly and with finesse. As one reviewer says "light a scented candle, turn the lights down low and let your ears be caressed by one of the most soothing albums of all time..."
Goddess was recorded in Hawaii at David's own studio using 24 bit technology and mastered by Grammy nominee, Anthony Casuccio in New York. The result is a rich, warm sound that envelops the listener.
Additionally, the music book is available from Enchanting Music (ISBN 978-0-9800701-0-1) and features all 12 pieces from the CD, beautifully printed for solo piano.
The project is distributed by Enchanting Music and is available at both retail and digital destinations. For more on David Hicken, visit the artist's website https://www.davidhicken.com
