Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ EMI MUSIC Australia) - The
Cat Empire returns to Australia for a summer tour through the country's best outdoor venues. Due to the demand for tickets, The
Cat Empire has added the south west to the tour, with a show on Sunday 10 February at the Old Broadwater Farm in Busselton going on sale this Friday 21 December! Tickets to the Cat Empire's show at Belvoir on Saturday 9 February are on sale now.
While hype has come and gone on other bands, The Cat Empire has been quietly building an international empire of immense proportion. They have become a solid festival favourite throughout Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, and indeed in Australia. Having just played their 600th show, you'd think the guys would be thinking of taking a well-earned break over summer, but following tour dates this month across Europe, the band will return to Australia to prepare for the biggest shows they have played at, on home soil.
The Cat Empire's summer tour will proudly showcase the live talents of other Australian favourites, Blue King Brown and The Beautiful Girls. 'Basically we want to create the kind of event we would like to go to', Felix said. "The bands we have chosen to play with us on this tour are all about great live shows, and that's what we want to create - a killer live event. The production will be great. The venues are mostly outdoors, so we can make the most of being home for the summer.'
