LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Velour Music Group) - Multi-platinum Australian superstars The Cat Empire will release their third album, 'So Many Nights,' in the US on April 22 via Velour Music Group. The list of The Cat Empire's accomplishments is stunning: sold-out tours in Australia, Europe, Canada, Asia and the US, multiple ARIA nominations and winners of "Best World Album" ARIA award in 2006 (the Australian ARIA is similar to the U.S. Grammy), multi-platinum album sales in Australia, shows at Bonnaroo and Glastonbury and appearances on Letterman, Leno and Ferguson. Reviews have been glowing: "Ace fodder for lovers of hyperactive musical polyglots (Jim Farber, Daily News) and "Nothing shy of astonishing" (Jack Real, Urb). These guys have been around the world and back, and have a new album to show for it.

'So Many Nights' is a dynamic effort, paying homage to their previous sun-baked albums while venturing into new sonic territory. Picking up where 2007's Latin-drenched 'Two Shoes' left off is the Afro-Cuban spice of "Fishies." Tunes like the ethereal, slow-jam funk of "Lonely Moon," and the dark island riddims of "'Til The Ocean Takes Us All" showcase the band's diversity and fresh sound. Lead-off track "So Many Nights," a blazing R&B bang-up with horns, organ and a gripping melody, sets the mood for this genre-defying record.

The Cat Empire is Felix Riebl (vox), Harry Angus (vox, trumpet), Ollie McGill (keys), Ryan Monro (bass), Will Hull-Brown (drums) and Jamshid 'Jumps' Khadiwala (turntables). 'So Many Nights' was produced by the legendary John Porter (Roxy Music, The Smiths, B.B. King, Taj Mahal, Ryan Adams) at in Malibu, CA and Melbourne, Australia in Spring '07.

Harry Angus sings, "Nothing lasts forever after all" on "Til The Ocean Takes Us All," but The Cat Empire's latest album, 'So Many Nights,' will linger for a long time.
