New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Most musicians have a story or two about the menial jobs they had to take while waiting for their big breakthrough; Maiysha, however, took a slightly different path. As she tells it, 'some people waitressed to pay off student loans. I modeled'.
Maiysha worked for the Ford agency, appearing in magazines and TV ads as she completed her debut album 'This Much is True:' (Eusonia/ August 26). She and Grammy-winning producer Scott Jacoby worked together for several years writing, editing, and recording the 13 songs that appear on this collection of infectious, progressive soul grooves.

As she worked her first modeling jobs, Maiysha also ran a drama program at a NYC elementary school. Ultimately, all those experiences found their way into the new album. Having written all the lyrics for her songs, she notes that 'after listening to the album, hopefully fans will have a very good sense of who I am. That's why we called it 'This Much is True:', because everything that's true about me is on this disc.'
