SAG HARBOR, NY. (Top40 Charts/ VH1) - Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum singer and chart topping songwriter, NE-YO will be the headlining performer along with singer-songwriter Solange at VH1 Summer of Soul Concert Presented By Harman Kardon and Mercedes-Benz, a benefit for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 7:00pm at EMM Group's THE Estate, Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum's home in the Hamptons. Guests will also be entertained by world renowned DJ Sky Nellor.

In previous years, Event Chairs Morris & Jaci Reid, Toni Braxton, Ciara and Nicolette Sheridan have helped to raise over $150,000 to support The Foundation's efforts to restore and sustain instrumental music education programs. For this summer's highly anticipated summer event, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation is partnering with VH1 Soul with the goal of raising over $200,000.

"For more than a decade, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation has taken the lead in restoring instrumental music education programs in America's public schools and raising awareness about the importance of music as a part of every child's complete education, says Paul Cothran, Foundation Executive Director/VP. Music making develops creativity, self-expression, discipline and focus, which carry over into other subjects. These skills are also crucial if our nation is to maintain its rich tradition of innovation."

This event continues to be hosted by Morris and Jaci Reid.
