Hollywood, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Television Academy) - The 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards have received five Emmy Award nominations in recognition of outstanding production excellence. Nominations were announced by the Television Academy from the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, Calif. With these nods, the GRAMMY Awards have been nominated 14 times for production excellence, and a total of 16 times overall. The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sept. 21.

The five categories include:
* Outstanding Art Direction For Variety, Music, or Nonfiction Programming
* Outstanding Lighting Direction (Electronic, Multi-Camera) for VMC Programming
* Outstanding Music Direction
* Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Variety Or Music Series Or Special
* Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special

"It is an honor for our milestone 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast to be recognized by the Television Academy with five nominations for production excellence," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. "This year's remarkable show featured outstanding GRAMMY Moments that viewers have come to expect of Music's Biggest Night. The 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards were produced by John Cossette Productions in association with AEG Ehrlich Ventures for The Recording Academy. Ken Ehrlich and John Cossette were executive producers, Walter C. Miller was producer/director, Tisha Fein was the coordinating producer, David Wild and Ken Ehrlich were the writers, and Tzvi Small was supervising producer. Musical directors for the telecast and pre-telecast were Rickey Minor and Larry Batiste, respectively.

The individuals nominated in each category are eligible for the awards. A detailed list of nominees follows:
