Lil Scrappy is set to return with his long awaited group efffort
Lil Scrappy & G'$ Up "Silence and Secrecy (Black Rag Gang)," January 27th on Good Hands Records/G$ Up Records.
Memphis MC's and production duo SMG, comprised of brothers Mac Chris and Mac Steve, join Scrappy in G'$ Up along with an appearance from former Crime Mob member Diamond and Atlanta native Jo Dolla.
"SMG have their own sound. Memphis has its own sound, Atlanta has its own sound, when you put them together, that @No $% is bomb, it's gonna explode. That's what this Lil Scrappy & G'$ Up is on," explained Scrappy.
"Silence and Secrecy" serves as the first official release from Scrappy's own G'$ Up Records imprint, which will team up with Philadelphia's Good Hands Records.
Scrappy's G'$ Up TV series debuted on YouTube in 2006, gaining close to 15 million views.
"We are beyond excited to be working with Scrappy on 'Silence and Secrecy,'" said Good Hands Records president DJ Truth. "This is the start of a huge 2009 for Scrappy."
Scrappy's 2006 single "Money In The Bank" peaked at No 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Scrappy his second top 30 entry. 2004's "No Problem" peaked at No 29.
"Silence and Secrecy" is Scrappy's first official release since 2006's "Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live." 2008 saw the unofficial "Prince Of The South" released and subsequently cease and desisted.
