NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Orange Records) - No stranger to the spotlight on stage, in studio or on screen, 23-year-old TYLER KYTE, has distinguished himself as one of Canada's most experienced and talented young actors, writers and musicians. His debut solo album, TALKING PICTURES, is now available on iTunes CANADA with hard copy release soon to follow. The album's first single, 'What You Need', has garnered airplay across the country and charted in the Top 30 on several stations.

With the release of TALKING PICTURES, Tyler demonstrates uncommon poise and an air of comfort that comes from years of experience. The album's 10 songs are feel-good, introspective pop, fuelled by memory, ambition and dreams. Lyrically, Tyler evokes a sense of longing, his softer ballads allowing unfettered access to the realms of the heart while his favored raunchy guitar sound ties the elements of the record together and highlights his strong rock influences. Underlying all, as his fans will attest, is his ability to express, in music and on film, the need we all have for love.

At the age of ten, Tyler won the role of deaf, dumb and blind young Tommy in the Toronto production of The Who's rock opera. He has since performed on TV and film including Goosebumps, Darcy's Wild Life, Missing, Prom Queen, Due South, The Elizabeth Smart Story and Guess What? and he co-hosted Popular Mechanics for Kids for 3 years. Most recently, he played 4 seasons as Vincent Spiederman on the hit television series, Instant Star. Originally a secondary character, Tyler's extraordinary musical talent propelled him to full time on screen, and his compositions have been featured on the Songs From Instant Star Three and Songs From Instant Star Four soundtrack albums. No longer in production, Instant Star is still seen 23 times a week on CTV and MuchMusic, as well as in 120 countries. It was no surprise that when the Gemini Award-nominated actor asked his huge Facebook fan base to contribute their own video footage for the 'What You Need" video, his production team, led by David Bajurny and Jason Gileno of ORANGE/East Hill Productions, was overwhelmed with submissions. The clip bears unique international energy that confirms the far-reaching popularity of his persona and the appeal of the song with his many fans all over the world. Each month new insertions are used, new fans featured and the 'new' video posted.

The Lindsay, Ontario native plays guitars, keyboards and drums and has previously released a five-song solo EP, 'Let's Talk'. His influences are his musician-Father and acts such as Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Aerosmith and Blue Rodeo. Tyler currently records and plays drums with the Toronto band SWEET THING, who perform October 17th in Hamilton and October 25th and 26th in London and, in November, he will join Nick Rose in the recording studio.
Talking Pictures is released on The Orange Record Label distributed by Universal Music Canada.
