New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ By Tiffany Shipp/ Sunshine, Sachs & Associates) - Singer/songwriter Brett Dennen will kick off his 54-city Hope For The Hopeless Tour this week with national TV appearances planned on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1/14) and Late Night with Conan O'Brien (2/9) and a Top Five radio hit with "Make You Crazy." His video for the song, featuring a tongue-in-cheek performance by Mandy Moore, will be added to VH1 rotation (1/19). Rounding out Brett's good news is a newly formed touring partnership with the Life is good apparel brand to raise awareness for the Life is good Kids Foundation.

At each show, a portion of merchandise sold will benefit the Life is good Kids Foundation, which has donated more than $3 million to date to charities helping at-risk children across the country.

"Brett Dennen has a vibe we love," says Life is good Chief Executive Optimist Bert Jacobs. "We're grateful that he is joining hands with us to make a difference for kids."

The tour will hit venues across the country, with two nights in San Francisco at The Fillmore and two nights in Los Angeles at the House of Blues. Dennen will be joined by supporting artists Erin McCarley, The Little Ones, Angel Taylor and Angus & Julia Stone throughout the tour.

In a nod to his steady growth and engaging stage presence, Rolling Stone wrote he "may soon give Dave Matthews a run for his tour grosses." With themes of optimism and social consciousness, Brett Dennen has developed a devoted fanbase and inspired comparisons to artists like Paul Simon, Neil Young and Bob Marley. Brett Dennen's Hope For The Hopeless (Dualtone/Downtown Records) debuted in October 2008 as the No 4 Independent Album, the No 6 Digital Album and entered the Billboard Top 200 Chart at No 41. Named a Rolling Stone "Artist to Watch in 2008," Brett also counts John Mayer, Michael Franti and Jason Mraz among his supporters. Brett's songs have been featured on Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs and House, among others and he has been spotlighted by NPR, USA Today Entertainment Weekly and the Washington Post.

The former camp counselor from Northern California, with long red hair and guitar held high on his 6'4" frame radiates confidence and ease in his own skin. As the audience grows, Brett Dennen remains the soulful and insightful artist that first captured hearts in California coffee houses just five years ago.
