LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Creative Classic Agency) - On Sept. 21-22, 2009, The Higher Ground Record Pool (HGRP)/1 Accord DJ Alliance will host their 1st Annual DJ Conference, a milestone which marks the creation of the 1st National DJ Conference for the Faith-based community.

The Higher Ground Record Pool (HGRP)/1 Accord DJ Alliance Conference is geared to educate, empower, and mobilize Gospel/Christian DJs while equipping them in grassroots promotions and business stabilization. This will all take place in the city where DJs (Hip Hop and Gospel) were birthed: New York City. Open to DJs, artists, record labels, and radio personalities and through a combination of workshops, seminars, DJ exhibits, artist showcases and some 'Holy Ghost' partying, attendees will leave with a better understanding of the united role they play for those in the Faith-based music industry. NY based HGRP President Dr. D says, 'With the rise of artist driven monolithic syndicated urban radio shows, it's time for an organized DJ driven movement.'

During the 2009 GMA Week, Neo-Soul Gospel recording artist Lisa McClendon shared, 'Because of the support from the 1 Accord DJ Alliance, I have access to churches, Christian clubs, and venues in cities including New York.' Her current single 'Paused,' from her May 16 CD release Reality has already garnered major support through 1 ADJA's mobile, clubs venues, mainstream and college radio mixshows DJs.

Strong presence at GMA week for 1 ADJA DJs continued with the strategic release of Positive DJ Mixtape Vol. 5 -a digital download highlighting new releases from 17 artists and created by Atlanta Chapter President, DJ Lace- which not only served as the mixtape for the official Pre-Dove Show: Urban Soul Caf?, but was also distributed to Industry reps, Radio personalities, celebrities, artists, TSU College students, and GMA/Dove Awards attendees. DJs also spun at events including 'The Show' at Anchor Fellowship, The Tedashii CD release party at B.B. Kings Lounge, and the Dove Awards After Party.

'We were able to network face to face with many Gospel and CCM industry professionals, throughout the week' says DJ Madame-Boo from Alabama. 'Many were open to the untapped promotions possibilities that DJs bring to the music industry and felt the 'DJ Centered - Industry Based' upcoming DJ Conference in New York this September is for such a time as this.'

The Higher Ground Record Pool was established in 2001 as an International liaison between Gospel music and its consumer base composed of over 17 million church members. With chapters currently in New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Philadelphia, they have become the first Gospel DJ Pool to report and chart to STS in 2008. HGRP was created to provide a network for the niche ministry work of God's mobile soldiers.
