LA (AP) - Six Days, Seven Nights actress Anne Heche is getting her own TV show, most likely for fall 2002. It will be the first starring series for the actress, who was inspired to commit to television full time after a multi-episode guest arc last season on Ally McBeal. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Heche's show, which will be produced by Warner Bros. Television but does not have a network home yet, will be a comedy, but whether it's a half-hour or an hour has yet to be determined. The deal is believed to be netting the pixie-haired actress $1 million. Heche began her career on the NBC soap Another World and has since returned to the boob tube for stints as an actress in films like Showtime's One Kill and HBO's If These Walls Could Talk. In If These Walls Could Talk 2, she wrote and directed a segment starring Sharon Stone and her own then-girlfriend, Ellen DeGeneres. Speaking of Heche's famous ex, DeGeneres, who became the world's most famous lesbian when she came out during the run of her ABC show, Ellen, is returning to TV with her own series this fall. In fact, the two could be butting heads on the television schedule.
