LOS ANGELES (No Doubt Fans Website) - No Doubt star Gwen Stefani is launching herself into the film world with a bang. She's signed on to co-star with Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's latest project, "The Aviator" - a biography of eccentric tycoon Howard Hughes.

Stefani's previous acting experience includes cameo appearances in "Zoolander" and TV's "Dawson's Creek". Filming of the Scorsese project begins in Montreal next month. "The Aviator" is scheduled to hit theatres in December, 2004.

Gwen Stefani will play 1930s film legend Jean Harlow. "The Aviator" will also feature Cate Blanchett as a young Katharine Hepburn and Kate Beckinsdale as Ava Gardner.
