LONDON, UK (British Airways press release) - A scantily clad Kylie in a bright pink dress will be seen in the airline commercial telling fans to stop worrying about terrorism and to start going on holiday to far away places (like Australia).

The airline industry has been suffering from a double dose of war and SARS scares with travellers opting for local vacations now more than ever before.

In a statement Kylie said: "I have travelled all over the world and British Airways has always been one of my favourite airlines. Bringing a tropical beach to central London is a fantastic way to get everybody in the mood for summer: feel the sand between your toes! It's like bringing a bit of Australia to London."

Kylie announced her new gig at a launch at central London's first ever tropical beach. The 25 metre beach was installed by British Airways at Covent Gardens to launch the campaign.

1Jayne O'Brien, British Airways head of UK & Ireland marketing, said: "It's great that Kylie was one of the first visitors to the British Airways beach. We wanted to make a splash for the launch of our new Tropical Beaches brochure as we have fantastic value for money holidays to offer. On top of that if holidaymakers book early, we will give everyone in the party a free British Airways return flight to Europe."

Exotic locations to be promoted in the campaign include Mauritius, Turks and Caicos, Bermuda and Barbados.
