Never mind the Bollocks, here�s the Basement Jaxx

NY (Top40 Charts) - It�s almost hard to believe that it�s been two years since the Basement Jaxx erupted onto the dance music underground with their explosive debut Remedy [XL / Astralwerks]. The brilliantly funky and caustic album made them media darlings while their infectious grooves set dance floors ablaze worldwide.
Miraculously, commercial radio in the States even embraced the dynamic duos innovative sound collage, making the London-based lads the �it� group of the moment. �Red Alert� and �Bingo Bango� became staple anthems from the clubs to the frat houses, and even in commercials (the infamous Coke commercial with the portly fellow dancing by the bonfire) - the London lads were thrust into a musical odyssey that would take them on an international journey around the world and back.

Now the boys return for another sumptuous summer rendezvous.

On the eve of the release of their eagerly anticipated sophomore release Rooty (a word once used to describe their sound and the name of their supremely wicked party in South London), the Jaxx�s Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe seem relaxed, yet apprehensive about discussing the fate of their latest long-player.

While lying on the lawn in the back of Miami�s swank Shelbourne Hotel (on a windy overcast day during the Winter Music Conference), I set out to get to the root of Rooty and discuss the future with England�s suave and debonair masters of riotous �nu power soul.�
