NY (Top40 Charts) - Missy Elliott says she owes a special thanks to Janet Jackson, who inspired her to include the techno-fueled "4 My People" featuring Eve on her latest album, Miss E...So Addictive.

Missy Elliott tells TOP40 CHARTS that she wasn't a big fan of techno music, but she was amazed when Janet Jackson took her to a techno club in Los Angeles. "I went out with Janet, and she took me to a place where they play techno," she says. "And it's crazy because I sat there, and I'm like it made me pay attention to the music. And I'm like that would be kind of ill if I had a song where I'm rapping and singing over it because as a hip-hop artist or putting Eve up there over a techno beat it makes it cool. But we just combined the two. It was hip-hop meets techno. And that's one of my favorite records."
