LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Virgin Records) - Belle & Sebastian are set to make their live comeback as headliners of Latitude Festival. The Scottish band have been on a break since September 2006 and will top the bill at the Suffolk summer bash alongside Vampire Weekend and Florence & The Machine. Other acts announced for the festival at Henham Park on the Sunrise Coast include US indie heroes The National and Grizzly Bear.

Critically acclaimed UK acts such as The XX, The Horrors and The Maccabees were revealed at a festival launch party at The Hospital Club in London last night.

Charlotte Gainsbourg will make a rare live appearance at the annual event, along with Empire of the Sun and guitar duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela, in what is shaping up to be one of the line-ups of the summer.

Jon Dunn from the festival commented: 'I'm excited and honoured that such acts as Florence and the Machine, Belle and Sebastian and Vampire Weekend will be headlining our main stage.

Meanwhile I feel that in The Word Arena we have the real essence of Latitude in The National, The xx and Grizzly Bear, acts that carve out their own niche and journey and who are taken on the brilliance of their music.'

Away from music, there is a comedy bill headed by Ardal O'Hanlon and Rich Hall, as well as rich theatre, cabaret, literature, art, film and poetry line-ups.

Latitude Festival takes place between July 15th and 18th and tickets are available now.
