Niagara on the Lake, ON (TOP40 Charts/ Music Niagara) -- Beautiful Niagara on the Lake comes alive with the sounds of 34 Niagara concerts presented by 70 world-renowned international performers joined by talented local musicians for Music Niagaras twelfth annual season. From a jazz nightcap to a lazy afternoon sipping wine and savouring Niagara sounds to music before the matinee, Music Niagara invites festival goers to experience the best voices and virtuosos from established and emerging talents at the 2010 festival taking place July 17-24.

The Ontario music festivals concerts are performed in beautiful venues throughout Niagara on the Lake, from award-winning wineries and picturesque parks to historic churches and starlit terraces. The repertoire includes works from classical masters at the Niagara on the Lake summer music festival such as birthday celebrants Chopin and Schumann, jazz greats such as Ellington, Coltrane, and Peterson, Italian folk songs, Spanish tango, harp, fiddle music and more. Extraordinary Andre Laplante, one of Canadas finest pianists whose recent work with the TSO was deemed sheer heaven, opens the season July 17th at a gala concert.

With this quantity of talented performers, Music Niagara has secured a major sponsor for the 2010 season. We are delighted to announce Miura Golf as our 2010 Season Sponsor, says Marian Bannerman, Managing Director. Miuras reputation for excellence makes it a natural partner for Music Niagara in creating exceptional music in Ontario, and we are excited and grateful for Miuras support.

Highlights of the Summer 2010 season feature concerts such as jazz legend Dick Hyman performing exclusively his own work; new series Niagara Pops, combining two types of music (classical, jazz, aboriginal music and more) in each concert; Schumann and His Circle, presenting music by Schumann and friends punctuated with readings by Shaw Festival actors.
