New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Natasha Borzilova Official Website) - Natasha Borzilova, former lead singer and acoustic guitarist for Grammy nominated Russian band Bering Strait is wrapping up final mixes on her second solo project. In spring of 2008 she released a folk rock collection of original songs titled 'Cheap Escape' that was played on Americana and AAA stations. This time around, Borzilova has chosen to do a more stripped down musical treatment of her songs keeping a mainly acoustic sound. Once again she is a writer or co-writer on all the tunes with the exception of a traditional Russian folk song sung in her native tongue. Her live performances always include a Russian folk song and audience response has been so positive she decided to include one on this CD. While Borzilova, a classically trained guitarist, is once again producing and playing acoustic guitar on all tracks, she enlisted studio player Billy Panda and his arsenal of many instruments to provide textures and diversity to the tracks. Panda plays mandocello, mandolin, baritone guitar, electric guitar, National guitar, slide and high guitar on the record. She was fortunate to have Byron House on upright bass and Arco bass before he embarked on the Robert Plant tour summer. Finally, on cajon and percussion she reunited with Alexander Arzamstsev, fellow Russian and former band member of Bering Strait. The CD is scheduled for a September 2010 release on Hadley Music Group Records and will be titled, 'Balancing Act'.
