New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) - Fresh off the road from a September tour supporting Marina and the Diamonds, Newport Beach, CA, rock outfit Young The Giant have announced additional Fall U.S. tour dates supporting The Futureheads. This run of dates kicks off on September 29 at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe' and will include shows in Portland, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Denver and Dallas before wrapping on October 12 at Austin's Emo's. The band will also be making their CMJ Music Marathon debut at this year's fest in NYC, playing multiple day and night parties during October 19-23, 2010.

They've been quickly winning over audiences across the country and these shows will see Young The Giant previewing brand new material from their self-titled debut album, produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Shins, My Morning Jacket) and tracked live at Sunset Studios in LA. The album is set for a digital release October 26, 2010, and a physical release in early 2011 on Roadrunner Records and features My Morning Jacket's Bo Koster and Beck's keyboardist Roger Manning guesting on keys. With two songs already being eagerly embraced by music fans - 'My Body' and 'I Got' have reached No 1 and No 11 on Hype Machine, respectively - Young the Giant is a 12-song collection that is bound to be one of the most exciting albums of the year.

Vocalist Sameer Gadhia, a charismatic and commanding front man, leads the band's high octane live show with anthemic hooks and rich, pitch-perfect vocals. Young the Giant's live set is the perfect way to experience their unique brand of sun-stained, So Cal rock 'n' roll. With Sameer jumping between two mics, and even stomping on a tambourine, danceable rhythms and heart-pounding drum patterns give way to soaring choruses and chiming guitars. The band, comprised of Sameer Gadhia (vocals) , Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar/vocals), Payam Doostzadeh (Bass) and Francois Comtois (drums/vocals), are natives of Orange County, but their diverse ethnic backgrounds - Indian, Persian, British, and French- Canadian among them - bring eclectic cultural influences to their music. With band members ranging in age from 20-22, their lyrical and compositional maturity is at the forefront of their polished live show.

After forming in high school and garnering a fervent and loyal fan base through local shows over the years, they released their 2008 debut EP Shake My Hand, which spawned an early version of track 'Cough Syrup' which came a favorite at KROQ and among fans. Since then they have signed with Roadrunner Records, received early support from KROQ and LIVE 105 and have opened for the likes of Kings of Leon, Minus The Bear, The Whigs and Ghostland Observatory. There's no doubt that Young the Giant are one of the most promising bands to debut this year.

Don't miss them live!
