LONDON (Dotmusic) - Talking to dotmusic in a recent interview Kelis revealed that she's sick of people writing about her hair and appearance and plans to change it all with her impressive new album, 'Wanderland'. "I'm not a model y'know what I mean? Although I look a certain way, I make music," she complained. "So, ultimately I want the focus on the music and not on what colour my hair is today or what shoes I decided to wear." She reserved her highest praise for her producers and good friends the Neptunes, describing their debut album, N*E*R*D's 'In Search Of' as "genius." "People probably won't get it, most likely," she cautioned. "That's how all great music goes generally. They get it way too late." She described her own album as the "third level" for the rough musical collective. "I just wanted to make more of a musical impact than I made the first time. That's important to me. The more you make music, the more you want people to hear it."
