Wristbands Now On Sale For City Showcase: Spotlight London 2011 - Evening Bill Announced
Toronto (Top40 Charts/ Junction PR) City Showcase, the year-round new music festival, today announces the line-up for its 2011 City Showcase: Spotlight London events: five days of quality new music in May (3-7).

The annual central London showcase of new talent this year features an outstanding bill with acts playing exclusively for City Showcase: Spotlight London.

City Showcase: Spotlight London announced its first bands in November 2010 (Moon Visionaries, The Critical, Katalina Kicks, Tigers That Talked and the Sonicbids travel stipend winner Canadian singer songwriter Chloe Jones). These are now joined by Ivyrise, Thomas J Speight, fantastic international metal crew The Eyes of a Traitor, the mesmerising Toodar, Jake Morley, The Kill Van Kulls, Warehouse Republic, Australian act Bonfire Nights, New Zealand's Anita Prime, hotly tipped rockers Roxy's Wardrobe, Sheffield's electro funk Starlings, Horusset, FranKo, Redtrack and UK debutants Canada's Low Level Flight.

Xfm's Ian Camfield returns to host Rock Night at the Borderline on 6 May and Heat Radio's Sarah Powell is Saturday night hostess at the Borderline (7 May). Horusset debut in the UK after winning a place at City Showcase: Spotlight London with the biggest number of text votes at City Showcase: New Zealand in November 2010 crashing the local networks.

All-access wristbands are now on sale at www.cityshowcase.co.uk for the recession-busting price of 8 which gets access to all nine evening gigs, the daytime store gig programme in Regent Street, Heddon Street and Carnaby Street, the workshop programme and 20% off at participating retailers. The evening gigs will be priced at 5 on-the-door.

Evening gigs run in the Borderline, the Bowery, the Social, New Cross Inn, the Apple Store, the 100 Club and 229 including, for the third year running, City Showcase: Rocklands with SE London promoter The Artful Music Tourist Board curating with free or discounted entrance for wristband holders.

Bands playing this year have been billed from a call out for artists (once again a record breaking year for applications) supplemented by recommendations from City Showcase friends and followers who took up the Everyone's an A&R challenge.

City Showcase Director Nanette Rigg said, 'I am loving the City Showcase: Spotlight London 2011 line-up this year. It is our best ever, the wristband cost is incredibly good value that won't break the bank and this brilliant event, giving everyone a chance to tell industry who they want to see as the face of 2012, is a perfect addition to the extended May holiday in the UK.'

Daytime gigs in Carnaby Street stores on 5 and 6 May and Regent Street stores on 7 May will include Tibits, Ted Baker, National Geographic, Eastpak, TM Lewin, Timberland, WeSC, Fornarina, LK Bennett, Puma, Lee Jeans, 55DSL, Zebrano, Kirk Originals, Henri Lloyd, Vans, Sacred Cafe plus the Heddon Street Outdoor stage with artists to be announced.

See www.cityshowcase.co.uk for the full programme.
