New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Popkomm ) Music artists are invited to submit their applications for the Popkomm 2011 Showcase Programme of the international music trade fair in Berlin as of now. The application deadline for stage acts at Tempelhof Airport is 31 May.
As part of a dynamic daily programme of stage acts Popkomm 2011, which is due to take place from 7 to 9
September 2011 in Berlin, is organising live performances for music artists. Popkomm activities will be centred on Tempelhof Airport, a venue with a legendary past. During Popkomm, which will host presentations, networking events, seminars and meetings for representatives of the music industry, exhibitors and participants at Popkomm will have exclusive use of the stages, where they will be able to present their artists to the international audiences at the fair.

Music Manager: "Our aim is to showcase a selection of new artists of the highest quality who are currently on the threshold of breaking into mainstream music, and who will be of interest to important decision-makers and influential members of the media attending Popkomm."
The Showcase Programme is being heavily promoted with all the participants in Popkomm, to support the artists and provide them with a corresponding platform for attracting attention. This concept already achieved success last year. Paul Cheetham: "Since last year's event, the artists who were showcased at Popkomm 2010 have signed recording, publishing or other deals, been offered tours, and have also benefited from widespread reporting in the media. They included Kellermensch, My
Heart Belongs To Cecilia Winter, Tracer, Fallulah, Iiris and Murmansk. We are confident that great things await the artists performing at this year's event."
One of the selection criteria is that the artists must have the support of their country's export agency or another organization or company exhibiting at Popkomm. Ideally there should be at least one local business partner prepared to help promote showcasing an artist in Berlin.
Artists' applications are invited as of 16 March 2011
