Buma Rotterdam Beats Announces 2011 Dates
Boston, MA (Top40 Charts/ Buma Rotterdam Beats) On November 18 & 19 Rotterdam will host the second edition of Buma Rotterdam Beats: the international conference and festival for urban music. The event features two-days of music conferences, workshops, and seminars, an award show and a night time music festival. Last year's inaugural edition brought together 500 international conference delegates providing a solid base to continue developing it into the main European conference for urban music.

Following its successful launch in 2010, Buma Rotterdam Beats combines an inspired festival line-up, featuring performances by both well known acts and upcoming talent alongside a two day conference filled with workshops, seminars, Q&A's and talk shows covering the ins and outs and every day realities of the business of urban music. Like its electronic and dance music counterpart the Amsterdam Dance Event, Buma Rotterdam Beats aims to be the main European platform and networking festival for modern musical genres that are deeply rooted in black urban culture, including hip hop, r&b, dancehall, reggae, dubstep and grime.

The 2010 conference featured two full days of panels and conferences covering topics like How to get your act booked by the largest festivals in Europe; 7 Billion artists, but how to find the right one?; Getting Global: Holland - America Line; Getting Global: France; diversidad presents: European urban Culture today; a Q&A with Keith Harris (Manager Stevie Wonder, GB) and Reggae in Europe: How to tour all over the union. The program included speakers from all the major European territories and the US including Rolf Radny (Kingstone entertainment, DE) (booker Gentleman), Anders Wahren (Live nation Denmark, DK), Dino Delvaille (Mojiza Management inc, US), Latoya Lee (Buvision/ Def Jam/ Konvict muzik, US), Matthew Haynes (Universal Music, GB), Daniel "Skid" Mitchell (BadBoy Records, US), Walter Harris (Blue Colla music, GB) and Hector Baldonado (Baldonado & Associates, US).

Performers at the 2010 festival included De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig (NL), Baskerville (NL), Typhoon & New Cool Collective (NL), Bluey Robinson (GB), Zwart Licht (NL), Jungle by Night (NL), Ntjam Rosie (NL), The Others (GB) and many other acts.

Buma Rotterdam Beats will take place on 18 & 19 November in Rotterdam and is organized by the Buma Rotterdam Beats Foundation, an initiative of Buma and De Nieuwe Oogst.
