WOLFRAM's synth-heavy debut, which highlights collaborations with the likes of Holy Ghost!, Paul Parker, and Haddaway, and sees the release of the single "Fireworks" (feat. Hercules & Love Affair). The Austrian producer/DJ who's real name is Wolfram Eckert, has released Sally Shapiro's debut album on his label Diskokaine. He's also produced music under the Diskokaine moniker for Gomma, Diskokaine and Permanent Vacation.
A stand out track is"Roshi" for example. A mostly instrumental number spotted with ghostly highs and medicated lows, "Roshi" pulsates along at a pace not unlike that of a yellow moon at midnight. Characterized by urban percussion encircled with a synth line that could've been syphoned from an underwater Kraftwerk demo session, the song spins a love story between the early 1980s and the tail-end of the 2000s. Proving that sometimes absolute hope can be offered up without saying much, if anything, at all.
