You don't hear a record like Planningtorock's W very often, just as you rarely encounter an artist like her either. Today, FADER premiered CREEP's haunting remix of Planningtorock's already-enigmatic track, "Doorway," which can be found on the "Doorway" single (out April 28th). On top of the original album version and CREEP remix, the single will also include remixes from Mt. Sims and Truly and Bagel.

Over the course of the last three and half years, Planningtorock crafted the entire W album in near-solitude in her Berlin studio. Singing and playing all the instruments on the album with the exception of contributions from Christoffer Berg, Pat Mahoney and Hjorleifur Jonsson, Planningtorock has created an album of immense proportions. She was hand-picked to join the ranks of visionary and boundary-pushing label DFA Records, putting Planningtorock in a league of her own.

Her music creates an emotional connection to the listener that's rarely found in music. Whether it is euphoria or melancholy, unease or comfort, you feel something when you listen to this record. It's heavy, and it's emotional. This is one of those albums that grows and morphs with each listen- if you haven't had a chance to give it a spin yet, let us know. This is an album you need to hear.
