Alan Jackson leads with eight nods the 39th ACM nominations

NEW YORK (ACM Official Website) - Martina McBride is the only solo female artist nominated for a major award this year (aside from female vocalist). In almost every category - entertainer, new artist, single and song - the men dominate the category.
With a long-run on world charts from "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," Alan Jackson scored the most nominations, with eight.
Brooks & Dunn and Toby Keith also landed five nominations each.
Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Patty Loveless, Shania Twain and McBride are nominated in the female vocalist category this year.

Set for May 26 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, the ACM Awards show will be broadcast live on CBS. The program will be hosted by Reba McEntire.
