Universally recognised as one of the music scenes most iconic artists, Boy George has sold in excess of 100 million singles and 50 million albums worldwide, both as a performer and songwriter with 80's super group Culture Club, solo artist and as one of the world's most successful international DJs. Recent times have seen George work with artists as varied as Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow) and Sharlene Hector (Bassment Jaxx fame), release his first artist album in 10 years titled 'Ordinary Alien' and unveil a new record label called VG Records. 2011 has also seen him announce that there will be a reunion tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Culture Club. Joining George on the night will be fellow VG Records owner and undoubtedly one of Portugal's most exported international DJs - Marc Vedo.
An award-winning radio personality and former Big Breakfast presenter, Chris Evans is a huge fan of Goodwood and has been a frequent visitor to the historic motor circuit and the racecourse. A self confessed petrolhead, Chris joins forces with Goodwood, for his annual Children In Need auction, to offer Radio 2 listeners the chance to bid to drive the famous hillclimb at the Festival of Speed. The presenter of the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, and The One Show, will be bringing his unique style to the party nights on the 10 June.
Mark Ronson's spinning skills have made him a favorite among the inner circle of Hollywood's elite. He also creates his own music and has collaborated with some of the most innovative people in the music industry. Mark has produced two albums and his songs have appeared in a myriad of commercials, television shows and movies.
Managing Director of Goodwood Racecourse Adam Waterworth said: "We are delighted that Chris Evans, Boy George and Mark Ronson will be joining us for our Friday racing fixtures to ensure that we provide a night to remember at this fantastic racecourse".
Free buses will be put on to the Racecourse and back from Midhurst, Petworth and Petersfield town centres. There will also be free shuttle buses running from Chichester train station throughout the evening.
Tickets for 'Three Friday Nights' are on sale now priced per night at �25 online (�30 via the hotline or on the day) for the Richmond Enclosure and �19 online (�22 via the hotline or on the day) for the Gordon Enclosure. If you're coming as a group of 10 or more people then tickets cost just �17.60 per person in the Gordon Enclosure.
