Meekos And Me CD Release Show On June 22, 2011 In LA

Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ MT Press) Meekos and Me will play a CD release show Wednesday, June 22nd, at 7 PM, at Hotel Cafe, in Los Angeles.

The band is fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist, Joey Colando, and classically trained cellist Danny Grab (who brings an undeniably interesting resonance to the band). The all-American Indie band draws from several musical genres including jazz, pop, Americana, folk, and rock.

With whimsical songs that would have been appropriate on the Garden State Soundtrack, their debut CD "Anxious Little Turtles" is emotionally racked. Their opening track "Entropy" features a distinctive and emotional cello riff played over a subtle acoustic guitar and is in turn accompanied by vocals and lyrics that are dreamlike in quality. Joey's luring vocals matched by Danny's smoldering cello licks, mixed in with an array of percussion styles, soft guitar riffs and spacey synthesizers, set the band apart from other musicians to date delivering sublime and unconventional tracks.
