New Neil Diamond album due next month

(Launch) - The new Neil Diamond album, "Three Chord Opera," is slated for a July 24 release on Columbia Records. This album represents the first collection completely written and composed by the singer-songwriter since 1974's critically acclaimed "Serenade." While Diamond penned the vast majority of his catalog, most of his albums include at least one cover song or shared writing credits. "Three Chord Opera" includes personal songs by Diamond that blend ballads, show tunes, jazz, doo-wop, pop and rock. This fall Diamond will embark on a major U.S. tour in support of the album, with dates to be announced shortly.
