New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) The Iridium honors the legends of jazz and blues in August, with tributes to Herbie Hancock and Freddie Hubbard on tap alongside performances by Robben Ford, Lucky Peterson, Albert Lee & Jon Jorgenson and more. In addition, they'll honor Les Paul on the memorial of his death with free performances by The Les Paul Trio (8/12) and a Livestream broadcast (8/14) on of his star-studded 2009 memorial concert featuring Charlie Daniels, Steve Cropper, Zakk Wylde, Steve Miller, and more. Check out some of the highlights for the month:

Freddie Hubbard Tribute Feat. Nicholas Payton - 8/4-6 - Shortly after his death at the end of 2008, Down Beat called Freddie Hubbard "the most powerful and prolific trumpeter in jazz." Some of the top names in jazz including trumpeter Nicholas Payton join forces onstage at the Iridium to celebrate his towering legacy.

Robben Ford - 8/7 (w/ Renegade Creation), 8/8 (w/ The Les Paul Trio) - Five-time Grammy-nominee Robben Ford has played with artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, George Harrison, and Greg Allman. He'll perform one night with his band, Renegade Creation, and a second night with The Les Paul Trio.

Les Paul Memorial Concerts (feat. The Les Paul Trio) - 8/12 - Visit The Iridium's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/iridiumjazzclub) on July 28 for free tickets to The Les Paul Trio's memorial concerts with special guests. Both sets (8 & 10pm) will be broadcast on The Iridium's Livestream channel (https://www.livestream.com/iridiumlive).

Les Paul's 2009 Memorial Livestream Broadcast - 8/14 - Tune in to The Iridium's Livestream channel August 14 at 8pm for a broadcast of Paul's moving 2009 memorial concert filmed at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium featuring Charlie Daniels, Steve Cropper, Zakk Wylde, Steve Miller, and more.

Herbie Hancock Tribute - 8/13-14 - With an illustrious career spanning five decades and 12 Grammy Awards, there are few artists in the music industry who have had more influence on acoustic and electronic jazz and R&B than Herbie Hancock. As Miles Davis said in his autobiography, "Herbie was the step after Bud Powell and Thelonious Monk, and I haven't heard anybody yet who has come after him."

Lucky Peterson 8/18-20 - Under the wing of legendary bluesman Willie Dixon, a five-year-old Lucky Peterson performed on The Tonight Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, and What's My Line? in front of millions. From there he went on to a storied career that included collaborations with everyone from Etta James to Mavis Staples. In 2007, he released his latest album on JSP Records, 'Tete a Tete.'

Albert Lee & Jon Jorgenson - 8/22 (w/ The Les Paul Trio) & 8/23 - Known for his finger-style and hybrid picking technique, Albert Lee helped to redefine country guitar for a whole generation of players with his song "Country Boy," which went on to become a huge hit for Ricky Skaggs. Jon Jorgenson is known as one of the pioneers of the American gypsy jazz movement. He's performed with artists as diverse as Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, Bonnie Raitt, and Benny Goodman, and has appeared on numerous platinum-selling and Grammy-winning CDs.
