Michigan Teenage Singer-songwriter Tops The Chart Again
Detroit, MI (Top40 Charts/ Amanda Morgan Official Website) Amanda Morgan, Detroit's own seventeen-year-old singer-songwriter sensation, has achieved another milestone in her meteoric musical career as the youngest person ever to hit the NUMBER ONE spot on 96.3 WDVD-FM's "The Radio Cafe" Indie Music Channel poll.

Morgan's original song, "Just Wanna Know Why," beat out strong competition to become Michigan's "Most Requested Song in the State." In November 2010, another of her original songs, "Ten Steps Back" also topped the WDVD poll. Both chart-toppers appear on Morgan's breakout release EP, "Land of an Endless Sea," recorded in 2010 at New York's prestigious East Side Sound studio and produced by Sean Burns and Grammy Award winner, Fran Cathcart.

Christopher Ewing, host of "The Radio Cafe," confirmed Morgan is the youngest recording artist to reach "Number One" in the poll. "Amanda is an amazing artist," says Ewing. "She has talent way beyond her years, and I foresee a great future for her in the music world."

Morgan continues to astonish fans and music industry professionals alike with her precocious vocals, propulsive guitar work and evocative songwriting. She has been called "A Category One, Pop sensation" by Nashville publicist, Robert Camacho, and "...in possession of a true musical presence," by journeyman Detroit artist, Stewart Francke. Morgan's original songs have been played globally on numerous commercial, public and internet radio programs, and received enthusiastic reviews.

"I'm proud to be from a city with such an incredible musical history as Detroit," says the seventeen-year-old performer. "I want to represent the 'next generation' of serious artists who can lay claim to Motor City roots, and I'm thrilled that so many people have voted for me and my music."

Detroit's Indie Music Channel sponsors "The Radio Cafe" weekly online poll, where listeners can vote for their favorite songs to be featured on air. The program can be heard Saturdays at 9am and Sundays at 9pm on 96.3 WDVD-FM HD2 and online 24/7 at www.theradiocafe.com.
