LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts)- Pop stars Victoria Beckham and Kylie Minogue will go head-to-head for the number one chart spot when they release their latest singles.
This will be Beckham's second stab at topping the charts, after her previous single, Out Of My Mind performed with Dane Bowers, was beaten to the top by Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Minogue, who has enjoyed several number one hits already, will be pitting her single Can't Get You Out of My Head against the former Spice Girl's Not Such an Innocent Girl.

They will hit the shops on 17 September.

Spice Girl Beckham found herself involved in a chart battle in August 2000 when her collaboration with Truesteppers lost out to Spiller's Ibiza anthem Groovejet.
Beckham heavily promoted her last single but missed the top spot. However Beckham is not entering into what is likely to become a much-publicised chart battle.
She said on her website: "Kylie is an artist who has been doing her solo material for a long time. "Not that it's a competition - the media make it into a war - but she has an established fan base, I don't know who my fans are. I would not even imagine I would sell as many records as someone as great as her."
But Beckham appears to have won the first round after gaining the backing of London's GAY night at the Astoria.

Minogue, who is considered a gay icon, turned down the opportunity to play a gig days before the release of her single.

Instead, Beckham will entertain the influential crowd on 15 September and has won the backing of GAY promoter Jeremy Joseph.

Minogue and Beckham will both headline BBC Radio 1's One Big Sunday event at Victoria Park, Leicester, on 2 September.
