Everlast More Than "gets By"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Everlast official website) Grammy-winner EVERLAST has returned to the airwaves in a big way with, "I Get By" the first single from the upcoming "Songs of the Ungrateful Living," out October 18th. "I Get By," an anthem for these troubled times is already making major in-roads at radio, breaking the top forty at both the BDS and Mediabase Alternative charts. Highlights include top five airplay on San Diego's influential 91x and top ten in Tucson on KFMA. Paul Kriegler, program director at Tulsa's KMYZ comments emphatically, "Huge phones! A message that really resonates." "I Get By," is just one of the emotionally impactful songs off the album that Rolling Stone says, "highlights economic hardship." A video teaser for Everlast's new single "I Get By" is available online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgxP1jS6yu4.

Lucky residents of Los Angeles will have the chance to see the multi-platinum-selling artist in a rare intimate performance at The Viper Room, week of release on October 20th. EVERLAST also was part of KROQ's Epicenter Show on September 24th at Irvine's Verizon Wireless Center where the site OC Reloaded exclaimed, Everlast (aka Erik Schrody) is not just any ole white-boy rapper. He's also a talented songwriter, musician, and leader of the legendary rap group House of Pain," calling his songs "brilliant." EVERLAST will also play KTBZ's Buzzfest in Houston on October 22nd. A full tour will be announced shortly.

Although there have been albums in between, "Songs for the Ungrateful Living" is the spiritual follow-up to his 1998 breakthrough, the multi-platinum Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, an eclectic mix of rock, blues, country, pop and hip-hop, which topped the Billboard charts and sold more than 3 million copies on the strength of its crossover hit, "What It's Like." Fans can pre-order Everlast's "Songs of the Ungrateful Living" online at https://itunes.apple.com/us/preorder/songs-ungrateful-living/id46711303.

In 2000 Everlast penned the song "Put Your Lights On" won a Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal Grammy for his collaboration with Carlos Santana, "Put Your Lights On." More recently, Everlast was recruited by Nancy Miller, creator and executive producer for the TNT series "Saving Grace," starring Holly Hunter, to create the show's theme song, for which EVERLAST was nominated for an EMMY. EVERLAST is also a member of the rap super group La Coka Nostra who has received major accolades and recognition as one of today's hottest hip hop groups.

EVERLAST emerged as a member of Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate for his 1990 solo album, Forever Everlasting then formed the pioneering rap group House of Pain with friends DJ Lethal and Danny Boy. Signed to legendary dance and hip-hop label Tommy Boy Records, the group went multi-platinum with their self-titled 1992 debut which produced the legendary rap classic "Jump Around."
