Block Starz Music Confirms Artists And New Release Date For 'Down South' Compilation
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Block Starz Music) German-American online music company Block Starz Music LLC, www.blockstarzmusic.com, has moved the release of its long-awaited Down South Block Starz compilation to February.

Down South Block Starz is the fourth installment of Block Starz Music's critically-acclaimed regional compilation series, which has previously featured the likes of platinum-selling Rostrum/Atlantic Records artist Wiz Khalifa (2011 BET Awards "Best New Artist") and recent Bad Boy/Interscope signee Machine Gun Kelly (MTV News "Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011"). The 12-track online digital release will be available from Block Starz Music for download on iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody on Tuesday, February 1st, 2012 and will contain original music tracks by various new independent Hip-Hop artists and producers from the southern United States.

Label executives, who originally announced the album would be released before Thanksgiving 2011, say they received several exciting last minute submissions that pushed the project's release date into the new year.

"The south is an extremely important market," says Block Starz president Bayer Mack. "We wanted to make sure we represented the region's culture properly and I believe we've accomplished that with this project."

Mixed by North Carolina impresario Mic Savvy (Savvy Labs), Down South Block Starz will including sizzling contributions Delwin The Krazyman (Baton Rouge, LA), Ariginal (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Crown Caesar (Raleigh, NC), Southern Dynasty (New Orleans, LA), Bettie Grind (Charlotte, NC), Loced Out Ent (Hazel Green, AL), Junnie Mac (Richmond, VA), Allen Forrest (Fort Campbell, KY), and J.R. Bricks (Atlanta, GA). The compilation will also feature special appearances by former Cash Money Records super producer Mannie Fresh's protege The Show, Lil Flip, Lil Young (SwishaHouse) as well as Block Starz artists/affiliates Lega-C ("White Girl Raps Fast"), Illa Scorsese, and Cin'atra Da Mobsta.

"Macho Man" by Delwin the Krazyman, featuring Ceddy Bu and Hollyhood Bay Bay, is the official first single and music video from Down South Block Starz and is now available for download on iTunes and Amazon.
