NEW YORK (W&W Public Relations) - Jermaine "JD" Dupri is continuing his reign as one of the most successful producers of his generation as he holds five prominent chart positions on two Billboard charts for the week ending June 26, 2004 for songs he both wrote and produced.

Usher's hit single "Burn," is still standing firm at the No 1 position on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. But right behind "Burn" at the No 2 position is another JD track, "Confessions Part II," which will more than likely be a No 1 single in the coming weeks.
On the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, "Burn" and "Confessions Part II" are holding the No 1 and No 3 positions, respectively, while Monica's hit single, "U Should've Known Better," enters the chart at No 10.

Dupri's Empire has moved and grooved us through an unbelievable list of career achievements beginning at age 11 and leading to the production of his first album at the age of 14. By 19, Dupri had discovered Kris Kross and garnered his first multi-platinum success.
Not soon after, Dupri formed a joint venture with Columbia Records and So So Def was born. For more than ten years, So So Def has become one of the most successful independent music labels in the industry. Under Dupri's creative vision, the label has produced chart-topping and platinum-selling artists including Xscape, Jagged Edge, Da Brat and Bow Wow, J-Kwon, Bone Crusher and Anthony Hamilton and continues its reign as one of the most influential hip-hop/urban labels in music history. New signee Jarvis is already creating a buzz with his hit single, "Radio."

In 1998, Dupri (the artist) branched out and released his debut album, Jermaine Dupri Presents Life In 1472. Chock full of hits such as "Money Ain't A Thang" and "The Party Continues," the Grammy-nominated collection went platinum and further established Dupri's substantial musical legacy. With his sophomore release, Instructions, Dupri crafted another sonic masterpiece.

Dupri has garnered countless professional awards from music industry organizations, publications, broadcast media, and various civic groups, including Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell's proclamation of Jermaine Dupri Day on October 9, 1999. In 2000, he received the first annual Phoenix Award from the NAACP in addition to many other honors.

In 2001, he received his fourth R&B Songwriter Of the Year award from ASCAP, and accepted Lifetime Achievement Awards from Million Dollar Pool and R&R (Radio & Records) magazine. In 2002, he received the Heroes Awards from the Atlanta Chapter of NARAS, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and currently serves as Chapter President.
But with all of his label successes, superstar discoveries and accolades, JD may be best known for producing some of the biggest names in music (Mariah Carey, TLC, Aretha Franklin, Ludacris, Alicia Keys and Janet Jackson) and with his current Billboard success continues to prove that there's nobody better.
