He was just 12 years old he was accepted to the prestigious Bela Bartok Conservatory and went on to win Hungary's Pianist 2000 Award. Adam was accepted at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and from there, he went on to win the Vienna Classics Prize in 2002. In 2003 he won the Special Prize at the San Remo International Piano Competition and in 2004 all prizes (First Prize, GrandPrize, and Special Prize) at the First International Chopin Piano Competition in Budapest. Adam graduated in 2006 and is currently doing his doctoral studies at the Liszt Academy.
Adam founded the The Adam Gyorgy Foundation with the goal of"giving back" to those who were not as fortunate as he was. He created the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in 2009 in his home country of Hungary, to provide scholarships for young talent around the world. The goal of the Castle Academy is to go beyond the normal piano lesson and inspire students to find renewed joy in practicing and performing. Adam's vision was endorsed by friends and colleagues and multiple events were successfully produced in Jakarta, Singapore and New York to support the Academy. In 2010, Adam created the Adam Gyorgy Foundation in New York City.
Its mission is to play an instrumental role in contemporary society's music education by supporting music talents around the world. His music bridges cultures and emphasizes similarities.
