Las Vegas, Nevada (Top40 Charts/ Global Maximus Records) Global
Maximus Records has agreed in lending their support to a national base of students across the country in a message to not text and drive via a
National Day of Awareness, 'Rock to Live'
Music Festival in Boca Raton, Florida.
The event will host performances by a mixed genre' of award winning musicians featuring in part Global
Maximus Recording Artists Canadian Rockers 'Surface Rising', the powerful vocals of
Jessica Dawn and the red hot rising country group 'BadHorse' representing the GMR camp.
"It is an honor to support the young adults and a great way for our artists to give back to the cause that's taking the lives and life changing injuries of many people a day, far more than drunk driving and that's a serious issue." states Randall James, CEO of GMR.
These Global
Maximus artists are committed along with these student leaders in sending a strong message into the teen community throughout the country to not drive distracted and while we speaking will suggest to the same audiences not to bully.
These artists will be serving as ambassadors to the students and supporting the pledges sought from the families and students across the country. These student families are being asked to take a leap of personal responsibility in downloading the free travel safety product PhoneGuard. The safety product PhoneGuard is a co-sponsor of the program by request of the student leadership at Spanish River.
The PhoneGuard's safety product restricts cell phone use while driving once the automobile reaches a speed greater than ten (10) miles per hour and provides a host of other safe lifestyle applications which aid in lowering child abductions. PhoneGuard has pledged the issuance of its safety applications to all school age households as part of the national movement.
The event will also be streamed "Live" from Florida Atlantic University April 28, 2012 so that students in support around the country can participate in viewing the event interactively using an advanced next generation hosting platform.
The tickets to the event are due to go on sale on April 2, 2012 and will be available through local schools and Florida Atlantic University. The university is hosting the concert made fundraiser in providing the use of the new state-of-the-art stadium just opened in October 2011.
