LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Stoked PR) Haim have already experienced an explosive introduction to the UK this Spring. Following the positive whispers that heralded their spate of performances at SXSW back in March, their recent sold-out debut shows in London and at Brighton's Great Escape in May have quickly confirmed that Haim are one of the most exciting young bands in the world today. June sees them return to London for a special one-off show, now to take place at Dingwalls.
The "three sisters and a mister" consists of three San Fernando Valley sisters Danielle, Alana, and Este Haim, and unrelated 'mister', drummer Dash Hutton. The Forever EP, already a free download through their website merges the spirit of
Fleetwood Mac with touches of 90s RnB. It sounds fresh, it sounds exciting, and yet it gives only the merest glimpse of what these ladies can do live.
The sisters grew up playing classic rock songs with their parents in a family band called 'Rockinhaim', and having struck out on their own, the acclaim has spread quickly. And whilst
Danielle Haim toured the world as drummer and guitarist for Julian Casablancas, her sisters were studying back in LA, where Este recently completed a degree at UCLA in Brazilian music.
The release of The Forever EP - produced by Childish Gambino's producer Ludwig Goransson and released on limited edition vinyl on 2nd July - will be preceded by a one-off London show, now upgraded to Dingwalls on 18th June. Tickets for the original Barfly show remain valid. www.haimtheband.com
