New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ AM444 official website) Saturday, July 7th is another small milestone for the Shanghai music scene. Local act AM444, made up of Dutch producer Jay.Soul and Chinese singer ChaCha (RBMA-2011) will be releasing their first vinyl 12" record labeled 'Split Ends'. This record will be FREE upon entry to everyone who attends the release show at Yuyintang, Shanghai on Saturday July 7th.
The record is a split with San Francisco electro rock band Tussle, who are one of the most respected acts in indie rock. On the record is the song 'Eye Context 'which will appear on their length album 'Tempest' set to release in September, along with the 'Croata' which is unreleased. Both sonsg are produced by Scottish dj/producer JD Twitch of Optimo fame.

AM444 released their first album Eye Wonder on local record label PAUSE:MUSIC in April 2011 to great critical acclaim. They have since performed in Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, Nanjing and at the SAKIFO music festival in Reunion Island (Africa). With a 2nd album slated for Late October release, the duo is busy recording new material.
ChaCha (Guizhou) is one of China's brightest underground stars. Besides being part of reggae crew Uprooted
Sunshine she also records with the likes of Kode9, Clive Chin, Jahtari, Desto, Jimi Tenor, Sickstar & Sunbiz, Wordy & Soulspeak, Hamacide and was part of RedBullMusicAcademy2012. ChaCha effortlessly switches up styles to fit the electronic, trip-hop, dub and leftfield grooves she sings her sharp self-penned lyrics over.
