Anchored by the twin stack, guitar attack of Dave Corsile and Colby Jensen and bolstered by the propulsive rhythm section of bassist Billy Berman and drummer Andrew Carroll, EVOLOVE (pronounced Eh-Voh-Luv), were first thrust into the national spotlight as finalists of the FreeCreditScore.com band search. Debuting the group's commercial during the MLB All-Star game on FOX, the spot amassed millions of impressions across broadcast and cable spectrums. Significant airplay on outlets such as ESPN, CNN and CNBC led to key placements on ABC's top-rated teen drama Pretty
Little Liars as well as MTV's hit shows Made, True Life and Teen Mom.
After crisscrossing the U.S. for the past eighteen months (during which retailer Hot Topic anointed the group as one of the land's "Best Unsigned Bands"), EVOLOVE are gearing up to celebrate Sessions Vol. 1 with two concerts, one in front of their hometown fans and a virtual one with Evolovers around the globe.
On Sunday August 12 at 6PM PST, Evolove will play an exclusive set for 100 fans online via StageIt. Implementing a "pay-what-you-can" model, the event will be highlighted by a 30-minute set of the band's most-requested songs. On Monday August 20, the band will headline the third chapter of ROCKSTARS & PIN UPS at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood. Produced by Ms. Levinsohn to cast a light on the best and brightest music, entertainment, fashion and performance art bubbling up in Los Angeles, the event will also showcase Vera Mesmer, whom are propelled by the yin-yang of Mr.
Christopher Mesmer & Miss Nadja Mesmer, KrashKarma, led by Ralf Dietel, and Never Like The Movies, featuring singer Shay Gerson. Previous installments of Rockstars introduced standing-room only crowds to raucous sets by Evolove, Matt Toka, Valora, Blameshift, Neo Geo, ModelSaint, Melotia and iNK.
The first two Roxy events were capped by special performances by Miss Dakota and the Burlesque ALL Stars. The ALL Stars are on tap to reprise their nightcap and will be flanked by burlesque performances by Misty Rose, Push The Girl and Dolly Danger on an adjacent catwalk in-between bands.
Catering to the burgeoning Pin Ups portion of the event, Levinsohn is also unveiling a Fashion-show type competition, open to the public, with $1000 worth of prizes from Roadkill Ranch, Stop Staring!, Rock Me Makeup and Lux De Ville to be awarded. Sign ups for "Pinups" whom wish to participate will take place from 7-8 PM in the Roxy Theatre lobby.
