Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts / Annenberg Foundation) Due to overwhelming popular demand, the Annenberg Space for Photography is pleased to announce that their current exhibit -WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLL - will be extended two weeks, through October 21, 2012.
The exhibit, which has drawn record-breaking crowds, is a group show featuring the work of over 100 photographers. An original short documentary film includes interviews with photographers Ed Colver, Henry Diltz, Jill Furmanovsky, Lynn Goldsmith, Bob Gruen, Norman Seeff, Mark Seliger and Guy Webster; and recording artists Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins, Noel Gallagher and Debbie Harry. Originally shown and created by the Brooklyn Museum with guest curator and author Gail Buckland, WHO SHOT ROCK & ROLLis the first major museum exhibit on rock and roll to spotlight the creative and collaborative role that photographers played in the history of rock music.
The Annenberg Space for Photography will be closed from October 22 through November 16 to prepare for the next show - no strangers - which will open November 17 and close February 24, 2013.
no strangers: ancient wisdom in a modern world is about the wonder of culture and the plight of indigenous people throughout the world. The exhibit is guest curated by esteemed anthropologist, author and photographer Wade Davis. Photographers featured in no strangers are Carol Beckwith &
