The Safes Announce New Single And Black Wednesday Show In Chicago

Chicago, IL (Top40 Charts/ The Safes Official Website) October 19, 2012. Chicago rock trio The Safes have a new single entitled Century of Saturdays that includes the tracks "It's True" and "Simplicity," both of which are featured on season nine of the PBS series Roadtrip Nation.

A notable departure for anyone familiar with The Safes' high energy power pop/garage rock n' roll, the two songs on Century of Saturdays showcase the band's range as not only versatile musicians but songwriters, composers and producers capable of spinning minds with beautiful, evolving chord changes, melodies, dynamics and instrumentation fit for royalty but appealing to the masses.

The Safes will celebrate the release of Century of Saturdays with their annual Black Wednesday show to be held this year at Township, 2200 N. California Ave in Chicago, on November 21. They will be joined by the groups Decoy Prayer Meeting and The Dead On. The show is scheduled for 9PM CST and is ages 21+ with an $8 cover.
