Music Industry Veteran Dave Rose Releases Book For Musicians
Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts) Music industry veteran and president of Deep South Entertainment Dave Rose releases his first book geared toward musicians. The book titled "Everything I Know About The Music Business I Learned from My Cousin Rick ; The Musician's Practical Guide to Success" helps musicians navigate the complicated path to success in the industry.

Author Dave Rose 's lifelong experience in all facets of the music business offers unique insight into the obstacles, complexities and triumphs that are crucial to a musician's ability to thrive. In "My Cousin Rick ," Rose unleashes the secrets only mega-stars have unlocked. Rose teaches practical and relevant tactics on how to properly gauge and monitor success, and wisdom on how to avoid and quickly correct common - yet often detrimental - mistakes.

"When I was 10 years old, my older (and much cooler) Cousin Rick took the time to share with me music that he was passionate about. He was unknowingly teaching me at the time that brilliant music will find a way to be heard. Now, for more than 20 years working in the industry I've had the opportunity to make every mistake possible in the music business. This book is a chance for me to share with others how to avoid some of these common mistakes," says Rose.

My Cousin Rick is not a book full of complicated royalty equations, hard-to-understand legal jargon, or secret code words to use on an A&R rep. Instead, it's a fun book of first-hand stories told by Dave Rose about some of the greatest musicians in the business, what he has learned from them, how they became successful and how this can be applied to aspiring musicians at almost any level. At only 176 pages, it's also a book most musicians could read in the time it takes to travel from one gig to the next.

Rose takes the reader on a step-by-step path that clearly explains how to achieve success as a musician and avoid detrimental mistakes along the way. The book's foreword is written by critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Allison Moorer .

My Cousin Rick is available in both print and e-book versions through fine online book retailers everywhere, including Amazon.com. A signed copy by the author can be purchased directly at MyCousinRick.com
