Atlanta, Ga (Top40 Charts/ JK & The Lost Boys Official Website) After three years, two albums, and seven different members JK and the Lost Boys have new inspiration and are searching for a name that fits it. Members Justin Keller, Colin Dean, Jaz Dixon, and Chase Lamondo are turning to their fans to help capture their new inspiration and rewarding them with demos off their upcoming album. While these submissions range in seriousness ("Corn Cob Pleasure Wand" and "Colin
James Dean & The Less Sexy Bandmates" among them), the band is genuine about reinventing themselves, the process of which is coinciding with the release of their third EP.
With new music, brimming with newfound inspiration, the members themselves feel as though "JK and the Lost Boys" no longer epitomizes their identity and vision. In short, the members have grown up and are moving forward artistically.
"Over the years we've become new people, have grown tighter as a band, and are writing newly inspired music. So we've decided to become a new band," says front man Justin Keller (aka JK).
To complete this reinvention, they have asked their fans, friends, and the community for help in choosing a new name via their website, JKandTheLostBoys.com. "Our fans are our friends and they've always been a big part of everything we do, that's why we want them part of this process," explains bassist Chase Lamondo.
Throughout February and March fans will be able to vote on the names they like the most. To thank their fans for this support, the band will be giving away a demo from their new album each month. In addition, there is a store within the website where fans can pre-order the album and support the band by buying merchandise such as T-shirts, posters, and signed albums. More generous donations of $300 or $1000 will earn a live show played at the location of the donator's choice.
Once the search is concluded the band will release their first EP under the new name and hit the road, touring throughout the southeast.
