SAN DIEGO, CA. (www.sdindiemusicfest.com) - On Sunday, November 14, 2004, San Diego-based indie-activist record company Say It Records and Danielle Lo Presti and The Masses, in conjunction with L.A.-based indie record company, Champ Records and Alicia Champion, present the first ever San Diego Indie Music Fest (SDIMF), featuring over 20 extraordinary independent artists. Also present will be indie artisans selling their creations, henna tattooists, Tarot readings, interactive art, indie businesses, tile painting, voter registration, hair sculpture & jewelry making, massage, delicious and affordable food and drink, family friendly and all ages welcome up to 5pm, 21+ thereafter.

The fun and excitement will be taking place at the historical Abbey on Fifth Ave. in San Diego, CA. We will be featuring a plethora of musical styles on three stages: Rock, Pop, Folk, Latin, R&B, Urban, Spoken Word, and more. We are proud to announce indie superstars Jonatha Brooke and Erika Luckett as our featured headliners! The music will be emphasized as a representation of why diversity is not simply to be 'tolerated' but rather celebrated as the crux of that which is remarkable in our community, as well as that which is crucial to a healthy, vibrant city where people of all types are important, recognized and valued.

The festival will be divided into Phase One (noon - 5 PM: all-ages and family friendly) & Phase Two (5PM – midnight: 21 and up, with alcohol available and allowed throughout the venue). Additional seating will be brought out Phase Two. Phase One will feature a variety of family friendly activities and music. Affordable food and drink will be available all day long, making this a truly inclusive event for all.

Say It Records and Champ Records feels that this is the perfect time for such a festival, as more and more musicians are choosing to produce their music independently, rather than relying on the major, corporate-owned label methodology. Not only will the festival provide a unique performance opportunity for exceptional artists, it will serve to showcase the true diversity, professionalism, and rare talent in today's independent music scene.
Finally, the San Diego Indie Music Fest will further help to educate the public and raise awareness of the wealth of music available here in our own community. Music that is rarely - if ever - heard on commercial radio, but is viable and thriving nonetheless! Ideally the SDIMF will be an annual festival, growing each year, building on the previous years' success.

Special promotion for the first 100 tickets sold - 12 hours of music and entertainment for $12. Remaining ticket prices: $15 for Phase 1 only (all ages) $25 for Phase 2 Only (21 and up) and $30 for an ALL DAY Pass, (must be at least 21 to attend Phase 2) Children 12 and under FREE. Tickets available now at https://www.SDIndieMusicFest.com & at all Danielle LoPresti And The Masses and Alicia Champion live shows.

SDIMF is sponsored by Sonicbids, MSI, KPRI Music Without Boundaries, Sound Surgeon, Memory Music, Power Plus, Eveoke Dance Theatre, Indie.Foto & Design, Goddess Kaffeina, Stone Paper Scissors, Yum 3, Sun Harbor Marina, Bionic Sisters Productions, and more...!
