Canadian Pop Rock Power Trio, Beyond The Sun, To Promote Their Music In The States
Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Top40 Charts/ WiFi PR Group) Beyond the Sun is a band of brothers in the literal sense. This family affair features the three Radu brothers: Phil Radu on lead guitar and backing vocals, Colin Radu providing lead vocals and Dalton Radu on drums and percussion. Phil is the oldest. He first picked up the guitar at age nine and has since become highly proficient on that instrument as well as several others, including the banjo, piano and mandolin. Middle brother, Dalton, gravitated towards the drums at an early age (although he also plays piano and guitar) and youngest brother, Colin, has been singing since he was six years old, so he eagerly embraced that role in the band. In addition to being skilled musicians, the Radu brothers also apply that same precision to crafting songs with drive, hooks and compelling lyrical content. They've been honored with five awards from Beat100.com in the UK, including their highest honor of "Ultimate Musician." They are also well-versed in the ways of studio recording. Put all this together and you have an ambitious group of young men who are fully invested in their band and each other. It's been that way since they were kids when they put on shows for their parents, and it continues for much larger audiences today.

Beyond the Sun want to go further. They've set their course and their goal is to increase their online exposure on sites like MTV.com and Billboard.com. They hope to do that by touring and doing radio promotion for their new EP, "My Kind of Crazy." Produced by Rick Beato (NEEDTOBREATHE Boys Like Girls), this five track album showcases the band's considerable skill at crafting memorable pop hooks. The first single, "My Kind of Crazy" will surely have audiences singing along at their shows. "Not for Me" is a reflective, mid-tempo tune that contemplates the different paths that life offers. The ballad, "All That I Need," no doubt inspired by real life relationships and events, proves that they can bring down the mood and tempo when necessary, much like the bands and artists they draw their inspiration from, like OneRepublic, Bruno Mars, The Fray, Maroon 5 and Train, who they are often compared to.

Beyond the Sun will be busy this summer. They're participating in the "Camplified Tour" on 10 dates throughout New England, New York and New Jersey, where they will be performing their music at summer camps for teen and preteen kids. Between 500 and 2,000 people are anticipated at some of these events. The band is scheduled to perform June 9th at S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival in St. Catharines, ON, June 14th in the Red Room at Cafe 939 in Boston, MA; July 3rd at the free, all-ages concert "Planet in the Park" sponsored by radio station 96.7 held in Battery Park, downtown Burlington, VT and then the "Camplified Tour" commences in Roslyn, NY on July 11th.

In between live shows, the band will be hard at work making appearances at events and radio stations to ensure their recent run of radio success continues. The band's music is currently being played on over 50 radio stations in the US. Their "My Kind of Crazy" single peaked at #5 on the New Music Weekly (NMW) Top 40 chart. The single also peaked at #34 on the R&R Indicator Top 40 and #98 on the Mediabase Top 200.

Radio isn't the only medium the band has their sights set on. Check out their YouTube channel to watch the "My Kind of Crazy" video: youtube.com/watch?v=w4slwXu9BZQ. The music of Beyond the Sun is currently available digitally through iTunes, Amazon MP3, BandCamp, Deezer and Google Play. Physical copies are available through the Big Cartel online shop and at the band's live shows.
