by Mikey (Gillingham, Kent, UK) - US hip hop star Kayne West is leading the field with a seven nominations, including best single and best album. The 23-year-old Jamelia is up for UK act of the year, best single and best video.
Other UK artists to get nominations include Lemar, Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse.

The Mobos - standing for Music Of Black Origin - will be handed out at a ceremony in London on 30 September.
